Farm-to-Table Lifestyle Curator

Welcome to The Farmstead—

I’m Kristin, founder of Chicken Librarian, where I bring together hospitality, storytelling, and traditional skills by collaborating with land-based businesses to design immersive, elevated spaces and events that bring their stories, heritage, and culture to life.

With a background in library leadership and a long practice of rural living, seasonal skills, and hospitality—including two decades hosting guests at a Catskills fly-fishing resort—I work across librarianship and creative practice to design experiences rooted in story, place, and connection.

Rooted in my Southern Appalachian heritage and a long relationship with rural landscapes in East Tennessee and the Catskills region of New York, I’m interested in how spaces, stories, and shared experiences help people slow down, engage deeply, and reconnect with food, place, memory, and community. My work—spanning librarianship and curated, place-based experiences—moves across regions and cultural contexts, guided by curiosity about how meaning is shaped by both place and the people who inhabit it.
