February Pie Results!
Hey pie makers! Did you make the pie? Wasn't it just yummy? And so, so easy? We're gearing up for a more challenging pie but by now you should have the basics of pie making down--(making) and/or rolling out the dough, getting it into your pie plate, fluting the edges, making a filling, and then baking the pie. I'm really excited that we've been making citrus pies too.
I must admit though, we ate the pie rather quickly so no new pics again! One day I will be able to make take pics like our fabulous cohost, Daenel over at Living Outside the Stacks. Head on over there now to take a look. And then hop over to instagram for a visit and to show off your pie.
As for our chat this month, I have a rather weird topic! You can jump in on the convo over on Instagram or continue the conversation here. Anyway, I was inquiring about how you challenge yourself mentally? I’ve been trying to tune into things going on around me more (I feel like I had my head buried in the sand for so long but that’s a different story that maybe I’ll address on the blog) and I want to tune in. Try harder to be aware of things. Learn more. It’s not just about any one thing in particular but rather gathering information and learning. So I read my news app, listen to NPR, turned off the reality TV (remember my post where I told you 10 things about me and my love for really bad reality TV?), and started tuning in to more interesting TV programs. I’ve always had a hard time with retention too so I’m trying to pay attention to that and really understand what I’m reading/hearing. How are you challenging yourself? And what’s your best source for doing so? I told you—it’s a weird chat topic this time!!!
But before you go, please leave a link below to your pie! Here's how:
Instructions for linking up:
(1) Make sure the link you submit is to the URL of your blog post or your specific Instagram photo and not your main blog URL or Instagram page.
(2) add you link by clicking ‘add link’ below. You can name your link whatever you’d like. I normally name mine whatever I title the blog post. For example: Pie Results are In! Add your email, choose a pic to represent your pie, click the box to agree to the terms and conditions, and then press the ‘save’ button. It’s that easy!
(3) Once you’ve linked up here, be sure to include a link back to this post in your blog post or use the hashtag #coffeeandpiechat on Instagram so that others who may want to join the Pie Along can find us!
