Friends! The time has come that I can finally give you an update on all these ‘behind the scenes’ activities that I’ve been working on for so long. I thought it might be easier to list it all in one post. So, grab your coffee and sit back. I have a LOT to share with you!!

First up. If you recall from previous posts, I was a guest on the Red Kill Mountain Homestead Farms podcast. And it was fun. But it was just the beginning. You see, Ashley and I have been hard at work working on some workshops at Red Kill Mountain Homestead Farms. And I’m so pleased to announce that we are hosting two ramp workshops in May. Yes, those kind of ramps! We will take participants on a guided walk and show them how to find ramps and then harvest them sustainably. Then we’ll spend the afternoon preparing the ramps three different ways! Y’all. This is going to be so much fun. We’re getting a catered lunch by the fabulous folks at The Camptons (my favorite café ever). So. I hope you’ll join us over at Red Kill Mountain Homestead Farms this spring for a full, fun day of ramps!

Next. You’ll find me as a regular contributor to the Cidiot podcast. We already talked about the Egg Song but there will be more short snippets as we move forward. If you haven’t met Mat yet, I highly suggest you do. He is so fun and funny! I love his podcast. I found it through the new Upstate Curious app and I’m glad I did! Speaking of the app, I am the moderator for the homesteading group on the app. I have lots of fun things planned. In fact, I have a beeswax food cover class exclusively for the app. You can find more info (and download the app) here.

Friends. I am so excited to announce that I will be working with Foster Supply Hospitality to bring some homesteading classes to their guests at the North Branch Inn location. I’ll be there the first Saturday of the month. You’ll see more information about these classes very soon.

I’m still booking virtual take and makes with libraries around the region. I have several upcoming and you can always find information about them on my Classes and Events page and calendar. If you would like to book your own private event, you can always contact me.

And finally, I have a natural dye workshop coming up in Callicoon. Friends. I love using things that you find around your house and turning them into something new. If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you’ll know this about me. If you’ve taken one of my classes, you’ll know this about me. But the ultimate repurposing project? Dyeing with food scraps and/or things that you grow or forage for. I’m happy to be sharing this fun project with you on May 2nd. This class is for the beginning dyer.

Well, folks. That’s where you’ll find me over the next few weeks. I’m still booking out late spring classes and events and then will forward focusing on Summer events! Let’s chat about how I can help you become the homesteader you’ve always dreamt about being.

’til next time
