Sometimes in life we need forgiveness. Sometimes we need to forgive others. And sometimes we just need to have a little self-forgiveness. That’s what I’ve been working on lately. Forgiving myself. For all kinds of things. But mostly to stop giving myself a hard time. I’ve always been a perfectionist but lately it’s been too much. So I’m working on forgiving myself. It’s been hard, but I’m getting better at it. I’m getting better at telling myself to stop when I’m overthinking a situation or when I give myself a hard time about something. Showing forgiveness to yourself and to others is so important.

The List

In other news, I’ve come up with a new list. Do you remember the ones I had before? I love a good list. This one is shorter except it has a few parts to it. For example, finish knitted projects actually involves about 5 projects. Anyway, I’ll keep you posted on progress. By the way, I don’t know what y’all do on a Friday night, but I took the picture of the thread last Friday night. I got a wild hair and decided to organize my cross stitch thread! Don’t be too jealous. heeh.

  1. finish knitted projects
  2. use up products
  3. cross stitch
  4. update class lists

Budget

I also have been working on my budget. Now that I have to pay all my own living expenses I want to make sure that I am okay money wise. I’m trying to live off as little as I can each month. I’m slowly decreasing my spending and increasing my savings. I’ve also picked up some side gigs to help along the way. One of the things that I’m doing is helping shuttle the fisherman’s cars from one place to the next. I really enjoy the people that I work with. We have so much fun and laugh a lot! It makes for long days but it’s worth it.

Daily Gratitude

And I’ve started a daily gratitude post over on social media. It’s a good reminder to me to focus on the positive. It will also help keep me centered. I’d like to share that gratitude here with you too friends. I’ll post the pictures and then what all I was thankful for each week. I just started it yesterday so here’s what I’m thankful for thus far:
-spending time with good people
-laughing
-sunny days
-taking pictures
-supporting yourself
-letting go
-making decisions. Or not
-new opportunities
-relying on yourself
-good girl pups
-reconnecting with people

That’s it for now friends! Do you practice forgiveness, especially self forgiveness? How about daily gratitude? Is this something you do? I’d love to hear about a self-care practice that you have.

’til next time
